Challenge

The 125-year-old family business, Müllerland E-Commerce GmbH, has an impressive growth story, in which Löwenstark Online Marketing GmbH has played a decisive role in its success. From a handicraft carpenter’s workshop to a team with well over 200 employees: Müllerland has managed to rise to the position of Big Seller with the help of Löwenstark. The success is bearing fruit: Since 2018, the company has been part of the well-known XXXLutz group of companies. The challenge for the traditional company is a customer-oriented online marketing strategy that does not ignore the advantages of the stationary retail trade, but cleverly combines them.

Implementation

In the course of Löwenstark’s full-service strategy, an online shop based on the functional shop system Magento 1.9 was initially launched. In cooperation with the technical partners, a relaunch to the new and efficient version Magento 2.0 took place afterwards, through which Müllerland operates with considerably higher performance. Cross-channel methods and measures address potential customers exactly where they are: Marketplace marketing, e-mail and affiliate marketing, but also search engine marketing and customized usability optimization contribute to Müllerland’s outstanding success.

Result

The placement of the furniture and interior design dealer has been increasing since the cooperation with Löwenstark, the first agency to accompany Müllerland from the very beginning – and continuously since the professional measures were implemented. The omni-channel orientation has also been a great success: the company is now participating in the Click & Collect process, where customers can order goods online and pick them up in a store on site. In addition, there are extensive landing pages, which are aligned according to the brands available there – a special added value for the customer. Automation of prices according to margins is also an important step that Löwenstark is implementing for Müllerland.
